Laconic

The Art of Brevity.

Laconia — or Lakedaimon — is the rugged region of the Peloponnese in southern Greece, centered around the city-state of Sparta. While the Spartans were legendary for their military prowess, they were equally famous for their "Laconic" speech: the habit of using as few words as possible to deliver the maximum impact.

Philip II of Macedon sent a threatening message to the Spartan ephors: "If I invade Laconia, I will turn you out." The Spartans sent back a single word:
"If."

In a world of noise, Laconia represents the power of the essential.

Laconic (n.1ng.me) is a private, minimal link-shortening engine. It follows the Spartan tradition of stripping away the unnecessary, leaving only the pointer.
